I noticed that I haven't been blogging in the past week so I just compensated with a lot of pictures. I mean a lot. 20 pictures is a lot, right? Of course, this pales in comparison to the 293 pictures I took in the zoo but 20 is good. But the pictures have to be read bottom up, of course, you knew that. ;)

I'm down for a camp next week so expect me missing for 4 days next week (Monday to Thursday). I signed up for the Science Orientation Week at the National University of Singapore because Teresa's going (Eng Hooi, I hope you are too!!) and I might as well get myself acquainted with the place I am going to be studying at for the next 3-4 years.

People have been coming up to me enquiring about the status of my scholarship application. As we all know, I didn't succeed. I have no shame in that. But I will make it clear once and for all, I DID NOT get the scholarship. Lol. And after a certain point in time (for me it was almost immediate), you have to start picking up the pieces and move on, which is what I'm doing. You simply pick up the pieces and move on. Things are not always in your control and I accept that.

In the news today, an article has FINALLY been published on how doctors can now genetically screen embyoes at the 8-cell stage for all sorts of genetic illnesses/disorders. I mentioned that during the medicine interview and judging from the looks the interviewers (current doctors, professors and medical students) shot me, they thought I was fibbing it. PWNED! Shame on them, allowing an 18 year old to put them to shame. I don't fib things, I know my stuff when it comes to things I'm interested in. PWNED. Shame on you NUS School of Medicine! I'm relishing in my moment of glory (personal glory, nonetheless). This little nugget of information has been online for months and the paper only publishes it now. People have to get used to the idea that they can't just depend on the local media for news because there are more dependable sources out there (BBC, Reuters, IHT, Associated Press).

Went out yesterday and got a box of cereals from Marks and Spencer (Apple and Cinnamon, it's good!) Walked over to HMV to try to search for the Boston Legal Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs. No luck. Instead, I lucked out (or not) and found the Season 5 CSI DVD going for a wallet and pocket ripping $150.On the other hand, Season 4 was going for about $100. Ouch. I already have Seasons 1 to 4 and not 5 but 5 was obviously way too expensive. So right now, I'm waiting for the price to fall.

I'm trying to meet my ex-colleagues for lunch but my schedule keeps getting screwed up or I'm too lazy to go out. Lol.

And a recap of my Great Singapore Sale haul:

4 t-shirts
1 skirt
1 capri
1 pair of sports shoes
1 jacket
2 bags

The last 3 coming from the New Balance Warehouse sale.

Will talk soon. CSI's on!

Location: Singapore, Singapore, Singapore

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
