Disneyland!
On the morning of 14 July 2007, we got up really early to make our way to Disneyland at Anaheim. Do you know what time we got up? We actually got up at 5am (well at least I did) and we left the hall at 5.45am!!!! Took the 6.20am bus to LAX, reached at about 7.30am and took a shuttle van over to Disneyland, reaching our destination at 8.15am. What you see above would be our tickets into Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, where dreams come true.
Our destination! We were waiting at the tram station for the other half of the group, only to realise later on that their driver had dropped them right outside the park whereas ours dropped us at the tram station.

Here's Walk Disney with Mickey Mouse, taken on the Main Street in the park.
Around the big statue was many tiny statues of other Disney characters like Dumbo, Chips and Dale. I couldn't resist and had to take a photo with my favourite Disney character of all, Donald Duck!
There are many segments to Disneyland; there's Adventureland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown. There's me in the above picture in Adventureland. I'm glad to say that I managed to go into every one of them but unfortunately, I didn't have the time to explore all of them. Bits and pieces of everything.
That's baby Tarzan being taken care of by his gorilla saviour. In Tarzan's treehouse.
Pirates of the Caribbean anyone? We saw Jack Sparrow twice that day but didn't get the chance to take photos with him because the first time we saw him, we were on the canoe and he was on land shouting us to give all our gold to him (lol) and the 2nd time we were on land and he was on Tom Sawyer's Island!
The Haunted Mansion, it wasn't even scary. But pretty cool, and it has air condition, which is great since it was a really hot day.
Me, Zec and Qi Xiao while waiting to get into the Haunted Mansion. These guys.. sigh.. no boundaries. Heh.
Half of the group taking a picture with Winnie the Pooh's many jars of honey.
Woody and us.
And then we finally went into Mickey's Toontown!!
Needless to say we HAD to visit Mickey's home. How Pluto manages to get through that door is a wonder.
They have very interesting furniture.
That's me, trying to make a call using Mickey's phone, obviously it didn't work.
And I finally met Mickey!! I'm just sad I didn't get a photo taken with Donald. =(
At 3.30pm, we caught the Parade of Dreams, where all the Disney characters came out to play.
Some of the characters were so long ago for me, I forgot who they were.
But I do know who Belle and Beast is!
There's Mickey and Minnie.
And Cinderella. She's pretty. =)
Simba, Lana and the money whose name escapes me. Lol.
The evil witch from the Little Mermaid. How come she gets a gigantic float of her own?
Ariel looked piffed that the witch has her own float and she has to share hers with Sebastian (I'm kidding!).
After the parade, we had some refreshing frozen lemonade, great for such hot weather and then waited 2 hours to get on the Nemo Submarine ride, apparently the newest ride in Disneyland.
Wasn't all that fantastic, but it was still something.
Night soon came upon us and the lights came on. The Disney castle at night.
And the fireworks eventually came on. It was breathtaking. They had cute fireworks in the shapes of stars, planets, Mickey Mouse (lol) and even a smiley face!
See what I mean by breathtaking fireworks?

Ok that's it from me for now! Will blog again soon.

Location: Singapore, Singapore, Singapore

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
