Survivor Guatemala has finally been concluded. I don't really have anything against the final 3, so whoever won was fine by me.
Out of the final four, Lydia, Rafe, Steph and Danni, I would have liked to see Lydia go first (which she did). Bravo. I hate it when people like Lydia and Sandra make it to the final 2 mainly based on selling their votes, although Lydia had one extra element, she lied her way through the game (she told Judd she was the last to know about voting Jamie out when she had a hand in his demise).
I always liked Rafe and Steph right from the start, not because they were in the axis of evil (lol). Rafe epitomised the good-natured, upright fella of the game. At least he was that on the surface. Underneath, he brilliantly played the part of puppet master. He made everyone believe Steph was calling the shots when he was the one doing all the planning. But he was upright right till the end when he released Danni from her promise to take him to the final 2 (which would have probably saw him winning the million dollars).
Steph was I guess, the underdog for a while. Going into the game with a bullseye painted all over her back, with Jamie being consistently aggressive and unfriendly towards her, I am glad she took Jamie out, but couldn't believe how easily she believed that Judd was about to kill her off, seeing how Judd was so reliant on her. She played a great physical game, despite having won immunity just once, notice how she was always among the best performers at challenges?
Danni was impressive. Coming in outnumbered, she managed to turn the axis of evil on itself, getting its members to vote each other out. Imagine it, had Danni, Bobby Jon, Gary and Brandon been voted out first, followed by Jamie, Cindy, Lydia and Judd. That would leave Rafe and Steph to face off in the final 2 (or Rafe + Judd / Steph + Judd if Steph or Rafe wanted to win), the ending could have been so different.
Well, another reality tv show finale this week (TAR). I hope the Weavers lose and the Bransons win.
Christmas shopping tomorrow. ARGH. I have no idea what to get. Repeat after me. Phoebe doesn't know what to get. I hope Tampines has enough variety though. Please don't make me go down to Suntec City on Wednesday. It's so far. Was at White Sands today, and there was NOTHING. Nothing Christmassy, save it for a few miserable trees and their decorations. But nothing else Christmassy. What a disappointment.
And yes, I will try my best to fulfil my cookie promise. Thursday, ok? My ceiling's gonna be done up on Wednesday, unless you don't mind dusty cookies o.O
I'm gonna get my room painted too =) Pale Pinkish ceiling + Scarlet Red walls. I hope it turns out fine..... Yes, my room is going to turn out drastically different. I have no idea if it'll be for the good or the bad. As long as it doesn't remind me of ice cream anymore.
I went back to the National Dental Centre to see the surgeon. My wisdom teeth look like CRAP. If I had the X-ray I would show you. My lower wisdom teeth are horribly impacted, they are resting directly on the sides of my 2nd molars. Since my lower wisdom teeth are gonna go, the surgeon was talking about getting the upper wisdom teeth removed. 4 wisdom teeth removed at one shot.
Of course I didn't do it today. The surgeons are all booked till late Jan 2006. That would clash with the Lunar New Year and so I'm going in on the 7th of Feb. They're going to put me to sleep (general anaesthesia) to remove the 4 cursed teeth.
The surgeon today was pretty amusing. Some quotes made by him
"Some people are just not destined to have wisdom teeth" "Look at Phoebe, she has pretty big teeth (Me: HAHAHAHAH!!!!! ) and a small built. Her jaws are still full of teeth despite removing EIGHT teeth (Me: including the wisdom teeth, yes 4 are already gone)" "Useless?? No tooth is useless! "
Ok, I can't remember most of them, but he did have some pretty funny lines. Heh. Please remind me to do my blood test on the 1st of Feb. =S
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
