The University of Manchester is organising a question-and-answer session on a Monday evening next month. I wanna go, but I'm highly suspicious that I'll be made to do OT (again) then. Sigh. Plus I'm bad at Q&A sessions. And then there's the figuring out how to get to Phillip Street from Shenton Way part (easy, but I'm lazy =P)
Someone, make me reply to their email by Friday ok? It's so important to me. Of course, unless I get my 'A' Level results and find out I performed so badly I'd much rather die. Lol. It's a joke. Really.
The Microwave Oven at work is leaving soon, according to sources. Poor Elaine, having to takeover the work from T from me 'cause I was on medical leave then. And now, she has to follow through with it. And the SC one... for some reason, the work stopped, for all 188 employees. I am busy now with JJ, R, D and I. Note that all the upper case letters in this paragraph refers to companies my employer provides a service for. Erring on the side of safety by not naming them, though it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure them out. And Microwave Oven? A new nickname that a colleague (the most friendly permanent employee there,S) conjured up for the dreaded I unwittingly. Lots of new people at work, such that it seems that the turnover rate at the company I work for is unusually high, or maybe it's 'cause I haven't seen enough of the working world.
OT galore. I've done more OT since I came back from leave than I did in the month before. 3 times at least, maybe 4, as compared to the once or twice the 1st month. Looks like there's more OT to come. Elaine and I ALMOST ended up doing OT today, but I really didn't want to stay and left. Work can wait, for now anyway. We know our priorities. We do, really. Our employers don't have much to worry, other than us NOT UNDERSTANDING where to put what, when to put what, and why. But simple tasks? No problem. S almost wanted me to take over all 70++ JJ clients. JJ is a nightmare I say. It's difficult, maybe not as difficult as DN(another client company), but still difficult.
And my new shoes? They are doing the thing all new shoes do best while their wearers break them in; cause blisters and sore toes (especially applicable for heels I note). But they are a lot more obedient than my court shoes. I thank the shoes for that haha. I count 2 blisters on my left heel, not too painful (it is painful, but not excruciatingly painful), 2 sore big toes, 2 sore last toes. That's it! They look nice though. The things women go through just for nice-looking shoes. I do hope that once they're broken in, they'll become very comfy shoes. They show the potential to go that way.
I've gained weight. Again. This time almost 3 kg. *pulls a long face*Time to whip out the swimming costume and goggles. The thing is actually going down to the pool.... 44.5-45kg is not good! At least not for someone my height=S
Mid-week tomorrow! Yay. Just no OT, please... the money's good and all, but it's not good working in the office when they turn off the airconditioning at 6pm, leaving us to perspire like pigs. Going off now, it is quite miraculous for me to post so many times on a weeknight, esp when there's work TOMORROW. Cya then
EDITED at 10.36pm to reflect actual timing of Q&A session. NEXT MONTH, not week. Typo. My bad
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
