Where my body somehow finds a way to cock up that is.
Some of you might remember my lymphatic system extravaganza last year when I had a grand total of 6 swollen lymph nodes that I eventually discovered was due to a certain conglomerate's hair products which led to me swearing allegiance to their rival conglomerate which happens to be friendly to my overactive lymphatic system.
This time, it's not the lymph nodes. It's the freaking nerves.
-.-'''
The nervous system.
Minor hiccup nonetheless. Albeit an irritating one.
For weeks, my upper eyelid has been feeling sore (right upper eyelid that is) and over the past 2 days, the pain factor simply intensified by a factor of 3 to become a stinging sort of feeling (from the soreness that preceded it). Needless to say, that spelt another visit to the family doctor for me who happens to think that a nerve located somewhere near the upper eyelid is over-sensitive (what is it with me and my over-sensitive body parts anyway?), leading to SOME (only some, alright?) inflammation of the area. So I left the clinic this afternoon after the doctor came in 1h 10mins AFTER the clinic was opened for the afternoon shift (thankfully I arrived 45mins after opening time) $26 poorer (my cheapest medical bill in ages, it doesn't help that I happen to think that my family doctor charges exorbitant fees for a general practitioner) armed with painkillers as well as medication to deal with the pain (what is the difference between that and the painkiller even though the 2 are really different drugs as I see from their names?) and to relax the muscles around the affected area. Now this better not take 4 rounds of medication to clear, the last time (the lymph nodes) took me 4 rounds of antibiotics which left me some $120 poorer before I realised something external was causing the rashes, itch and swollen lymph nodes.
Oh yes, and he did leave instructions to reduce the amount of strain I'm subjecting my eyes too, not like I can help it when my molecular genetics lecturer chooses colour schemes that are impossible to decipher (even to the non-colour-blind) and when I'm spending hours writing reports. Of course, all that time on msn messenger probably doesn't help but let's just pretend I didn't say that. ;)
