According to the vet, she has an infection in her uterus, and some kidney problems (not to the point of kidney failure) which might be due to the infection or age, which isn't obvious at this point. So she's probably going into surgery in an hour or so and her chances of making it are about 50%. :(

I hope she makes it, I'll do anything if it means she'll make it:( But it's out of our hands now, it's up to the vet (thank goodness the vet we had the other day isn't around, I mean she's a bird doctor, not a dog doctor, and the one we saw this morning was a lot better and more intuitive).

You have no idea how heartbreaking it was to leave her there in the clinic, with her connected to a drip, looking at us with pleading eyes, about to cry. My heart basically broke into a million pieces when I saw that. I hope she understood when I told her that we're not abandoning her and that we'll go back for her.

I'm hoping for the best. :(
