Just as we thought Singapore is a nice, lil' corrupt-free country (as the citizens know, it isn't so)...
LTA technical officer charged with 224 counts of corruption By Dominique Loh, Channel NewsAsia
A 37-year-old technical officer from the Land Transport Authority has been slapped with 224 charges of corruption.
From February to December last year, Gunalan Ganesan allegedly overlooked certain inspections during the construction of the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway Project.
The court was told he took several favours amounting to nearly $4,000 from a Chye Joo Construction project manager, who was overseeing the expressway project.
He allegedly received gratifications which included free car repairs and cigarettes.
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
