The Lunar New Year is over, at least in Singapore. People have been going back to work/school/life since Wednesday. My sweetie has been stuck in this air base since Wednesday too (bleurgh). I'm at home, trying to study but my brain is staging a rebellion. Not bad, considering I've already gone through round 1 for biodiversity and economics over the last 4 days (plus Lunar New Year obligations). Statistics shall wait till next week, or tomorrow if I can afford it. I just have to try completing round 1 for sociology today (long arduous task, I'm halfway through now).

I think I am going to S/U my philosophy module because it is not making sense to me whereas I think I have an inch of sense in me that I can spout for sociology, does nonsensical sense count? I hope so.

I'm applying for Summer Programmes at UCLA and the University of Toronto, hopefully I'll get one. My interview is next Friday; it's a group interview, which normally works to my advantage. Heh.

It's a little sad that the semester break is ending and I'll be back in uni for lessons come Monday. At least it means that freedom from the university for 3 months is approximately 10 weeks away. 7 weeks of lessons, 1 week's study break and 2 weeks of exams. I'll have to persevere the first 2 weeks back but I think I'll get a little more breathing room after that, till the whole I-have-to-study-lest-I-fail-the-final-examinations mood kicks in.

I sent Yee Chien off to Sydney yesterday morning, together with some of my squad mates from TKGRCY. 3rd person to leave, Jiaxin's leaving again tomorrow. I hope she does well over there. Hang in there, ok? Maybe 6 years won't be that long, after all, spending 6 years there to put one Dr. in front of your name, that's less time than what the Americans have to put up with.

Had McDonalds after she went through the gate. I haven't had McDonald's breakfast for a really long time before it and yesterday reaffirmed how much I actually like their breakfasts. I remember I survived on McDonald's EVMs for 4 years in secondary school because their outlet was so conveniently located next to the train station. It was an in-and-out trip getting lunch from them on my way home. Considering the frequency I ate fast food then, it was a miracle that I managed to lose 8kg in secondary school. Lol.

I originally intended to study for my economics term test at the airport's McDonalds, only to realise the management had stuck "No Studying" signs all over the place. So I went back to my old haunt, the viewing gallery, and spent 4 hours studying there. No longer a good place to study, it used to be this quiet corner not many people would visit, but yesterday, boy was it bustling! I couldn't get any peace, but I did get my studying done.

Went to Plaza Singapura to meet a dear friend of mine. It surprises me that I'm still in contact with him, considering I don't talk to any other people from that same class now. 11 years on, wow. Caught Epic Movie (not very recommended, wait for the pirated DVD or download it =P, I can say that but you all know as well as I do that I personally won't do that, though I actually condone it), it was a lame movie, classic Scary Movie style, which means it was very lame. If you're really that stressed out, maybe you can go catch this movie, you'll probably come out with a slightly-numbed brain.

Ok, my break has gone on long enough (even had time to finish one sample term test paper for economics lol).

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
