I am starting to become superficial, and I'm not too sure if it should scare me.
Just yesterday, I was out with the boyfriend and his family (that means his mum + younger sis) and we decided to settle for Yuki Yaki (it's something like Japanese steamboat?).
Anyway, when it comes to steamboats, I am a complete sucker for the soup and Yuki Yaki had all these delightfully adorably shaped food for the soup. Things like Hershey Kisses' shaped fishballs, fish-shaped fish cakes , colourful tofu.. etc etc. I fell for it.... I was so amused by the variety, I promptly filled a plate with those.
And then today I was out with the boyfriend and my mum at Tampines Mall, after our very late lunch, we were walking around. Just a few days ago, I had spotted this pair of shorts from Giordano with a really flattering cut and decided I had to get that (meaning either my mum would offer to pay or I would pay for it out of my pocket). After hinting about it to my mum, she offered to pay, so off I went thinking, I'd end up with 2 pairs of shorts (2nd pair at 50% off you see).
The end result? 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of capris, 2 shirts.
I had a previous pair of shorts that I really liked but that sorta went missing, hence the 2 pairs of shorts are meant to replace it (with one having a similar cut). And I know the math doesn't exactly tally, but for a female, what do you expect?!??!
I have an ever-blossoming wardrobe.... I won't have to worry about a clothes shortage in the States; if I brought all my clothes over, I would NEVER EVER have to do laundry for the 6 weeks there. Of course, excess baggage would kill me (and I do want to get more clothes there *hides*).
And looking through my wardrobe, I reckon if I brought clothes in the ratio of 2 tops to 1 bottom, I can alternate between washing my tops and bottoms every week (eg, Wk 1-tops, Wk 2- bottoms, wk 3- tops.. etc etc).
