You know that something's gotten into the university administration, yes our very bureaucratic administration, when it actually agrees with the Student's Union on the issue of extending the new S/U option to the seniors. In the past, it would have simply said something along the lines of "suck it up, life's unfair!" So now it's being put to the vote by the higher ups of the admin, and if they vote yes to the proposal, this will be one of the very, very, very few times our views have actually counted for something.
I'm highly stressed out right now, hence the lack of updates for the past 2 weeks. I'm lost in lectures, I abhor extra credits because everyone does them and the final score is pushed above 100 (not to mention we're tested before we're taught anything so it doesn't test our learning potential, it serves to make us frustrated and test how much we know before the lecturer started which is just morally wrong as it seems as if the lecturer wants to take the short way out, by making the students do ALL the learning before he lectures- I mean, hey, you're supposed to be teaching us! Teach for goodness sake! It doesn't matter whether we were morons regarding the topic beforehand, you have to teach us before you test us!).
I have a term test this coming Wednesday and I'm not looking forward to it.
One of my classes this semester will disallow me from taking a Year 3 Life Science module that serves as a prerequisite for an additional 2 Year 3 and 3 Year 4 Life Science modules for one of the concentrations. YUCK. But even if I went into that concentration, I would still have enough modules to pass.
I have to write a 15 page FORMAL REPORT on an issue I select (in a group, of course). For the report, I selected a topic that all Singaporeans should know about but don't. I told a friend about my topic and he got really agitated.... yea....
It's funny how my friend was telling me on Friday morning as we sat on the benches outside the seminar room that we don't know why we're Life Science majors when all the interesting modules are not Life Science modules. Lol.
So there, an update, now it's time for me to retreat and find something to study :(
