My Timetable Last Semester
Mondays : No lessons Tuesdays: 8am-4pm of back-to-back lectures Wednesday: 2pm-4pm Thursday: No lessons Friday: 8am - 2pm of back-to-back lectures, tutorial on alternate weeks from 2pm-4pm
Now?
Mondays: 10am to noon (lecture), 4pm-6pm (practical) {4 hour break } Tuesday: Noon to 2pm (lecture), 4pm-6pm (lecture) {2 hour break} Wednesday: 10am to noon (lecture), noon to 6pm (practical) {8 straight hours of lessons} Thursday: No lessons????? You'll see why later. Friday: Possible 8am-9am or 9am to 10am tutorials??? Noon to 2pm (lecture), 4pm-6pm (lecture) {Possible 4 to 5 hour break}
It's obvious that my new timetable is nowhere as pretty and nice as my timetable from last semester but right now I'm risking losing my 4 day week just because of a weekly one hour tutorial when it takes 2 hours to get from my place to campus.
The worst bit? Tutorial allocation is random and done via balloting, I have a 50-50 chance of getting a Friday tutorial and a 50-50 chance of getting a Thursday tutorial which will really ruin my day for me. Going back to school, wasting some 4 hours taking public transport to go for an hour's worth of tutorial? Now, I better get the Friday slot or the lecturer is going to have one irate student in his face next week.
