My 3rd year in university is really starting on a bad note. My Teaching Assistant (TA) for microbiology lab is really just unhelpful, to the extent that I actually think that she's being LAZY.
Why? Well I had my first lab session on Friday and it was then we were told we would have to submit FIVE Practical Reports for this particular module, the first of which is for that particular practical. Anyway, she refused to tell us what we were expected to cover in the report, which all the other TAs briefed their students on, and did not tell us if we were expected to include the specimens observed at the demonstration bench in our report which all other TAs are including but looking for completely different things. So I think that it is included, the question that remains would be 'What am I supposed to write about them?'
My readings for the Arts module I'm taking is horrendous (albeit not as horrendous as the history module's readings that I took in Year 2 Semester 1 but definitely worse than that for the sociology module's back in Year 1 Semester 2). Some articles are interesting but there are a few out there that belongs in this 'I have no idea what you were thinking when you wrote what you wrote in your book other than the sheer thought of appearing educated, intellectual and that confusing readers, especially those who are still undergraduates, would be particularly fun' category. So yes, that sums up the cons of that module, other than the horrendous assignment that we have to do with requires me to dig back 4 generations on my lineage, considering that people in my family typically don't live long lives.
And now, I have a craving for a bowl of noodles. Preferably, hot, and soupy, which can only mean one thing. INSTANT NOODLES.
