Axonopus Compressus
I'm bored, hence I'm blogging (after iTouch screwed up yet again, causing the entire computer to reboot *sighs*, that was last night, in the middle of a rather long entry, which I have no intention of replicating).

Today was yet another boring day. 3 periods of chemistry tutorials, 2 chem tests, followed by a few bombs. Bombs? Well... you'll see.

Next week's hectic, hectic schedule.
Monday : Bio RDE from 12.45 till 3.05pm
Tuesday: Econs lecture test + Chem test on organic chem (HUGE TOPICS)
Wednesday : Biochem test

Someone, please put me out of my misery...

We did yet ANOTHER written assignment for gp today, and I have no idea what was up with FTong. He was whispering so softly I couldn't make out what he was saying, and then he said something quite dumb.

T: So have you done the summary?
Me: Errr... THIS is the summary

-.-'''

Then he asked to see me after lessons, turns out he wanted me to attend some discipline committee meeting on Thursday (which is expected to go all the way till 6pm). Needless to say, since I am disinterested in this sorta stuff (ironically I was a prefect in pri and sec sch haha), I said no. I didn't exactly say no, I cooked up some excuse not to go. Lol. I know, I know, I'm a horrible liar, that's why I'm surprised I came through it in one piece. You seriously have no idea how easily people who know me see through my lies. Which is why I try not to when I can. I only sugar-coat my words to make it listener-friendly, that doesn't constitute lying =P

We saw lots of Grad Night posters around school today, Ritz Carlton, 5th December, $85. I'm still thinking if I should go. Firstly, I don't get the price tag. TPJC did it for $75 before, rumors has it that ACJC is doing it for $70 (all at the SAME VENUE). $10 is a lot, you could use it to:

make 100 trips to the toilet (paid ones)
buy 2 EVM meals at McDonalds (I'd donate the extra dollar)
buy half a music CD (or 1, if it's pirated)
travel from Bedok to my place, twice (haha, yes, I used to take the cab home from school, split the cost between my classmate, who conveniently stayed 5 mins away, and I)
consume 10 Old Chang Kee curry puffs which are out of this world
settle my lunch for an entire week (I am NOT kidding)
pay half of my monthly mobile phone bills
buy some snacks for my dogs

You see the variety that can be accomplished by $10? I think the SC is either HORRIBLE at getting people to quote them decent prices, or trying to cheat us out of $10. $10 is a lot, $10 from each person will amount to $8000 if 800 people attend (there's more year 2s than that).

Another thing about Grad Night. I don't think I will enjoy it. I enjoyed Prom Night in 2003, because of the people, the food was bleh... lol. I liked my class a lot more than I do now. I can't stand 2 people in particular, let's call them A and B. Plus, we did spent 4 hours making snarky comments about the school, despite having at least 3 prefects at the table (the head prefect was there too, and she contributed!). There are some things about a girls' school that will ALWAYS beat a co-ed school hands down. So let's do some analysis, shall we?

There are 21 people in my current class, out of which, 2-4 will probably not be going. Each table seats 10 (using a conservative estimate). Which means, there's going to be either 1 or 2 tables ONLY. Now what are the chances that I will have to seat with either A or B? 50%? You thought wrong. A and B are in different cliques, so I reckon, there is a minute chance (ok, small) of them being seated at the same table. So there will be a 100% probability of sitting at the same table as either of them. Shoot me, someone. Lol. Plus, out of the people I'm closer to in class, Teresa is definitely not going. JX doesn't seem like she's going (are you still haunted by that blue dress???) lol. Eng Hooi and Yu Yan are unsure. *shrugs* Plus, one out of the 2 seem pretty close to A. So..yea... doesn't bode well. I'm better off NOT GOING. Sheesh, to think I entered JC thinking it'd be better than TKGS. I was WRONG. If it were the 22/04 of the first 3 months, I'd go, because A and B both wouldn't be there and there'd be people like Mona, Natasha and Sijia there.

I know some of you are probably gonna think I'm such a spoilsport for doing such a thing and that I should go since it's the last time you're gonna be together as a class plus it'll be fun yada yada yada. But seriously, I wouldn't enjoy myself being surrounded by people I'm not close to or worse, dislike. If I went, it'd only be a night of pretenses. No point.

Oh yes, we've got some corny theme for Grad Night, it is so corny I can't even remember it. Something along the lines of Una Norche???? In TKGS, we had nicer themes, some interesting ones (Axonopus Compressus , can't remember the spelling). If the theme's about stars, I still think Etoile Filante sounds nicer. The publicity for the event is worse. What were they thinking when they pasted stars over faces of models (I'm making an assumption) and then printing them?

I wanted to blog abt something else, great, now I can't remember. Gonna stop then. Cya

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
