Birthday Season is ALMOST OVER!!
Haha before I forget..

Happy Birthday William and Eveline (although it's a day late)

Haha forgive me for my semi-warped sense of humour.

Last day of the months, which means I'm edging closer to the prelims (yikes). Finished chem last night and now I'm finally onto econs (sighs).

Anyhow, yesterday I went for the British Council Exhibition with Yin Xue. We met up early, 'cause I was at the Tampines McDonalds having breakfast and studying. So we ate there, she did trigo (unfortunately with me as her tutor, and I SUCK at trigo, while she LOVES it lol. Ironical, isn't it?) and I did chem (finished transition metals there) and then it was off to the Pan Pacific Hotel.

I've never been there till yesterday, all along, all I saw was a building with the words "PAN PACIFIC" outside, probably with a font size of a thousand? Maybe a million. I don't know. Took us forever to get there.. since the address said Marina Square, we exited there, and basically walked all over the place before reaching the hotel. When we got there, we had quite some trouble locating the ballroom.

It was a quiet event, I wonder, why do events organised by the British Council always end up being so quiet? Bought some reference books, which costed me a mini bomb. Spoke to representatives from UCAS, the University of Manchester and the University of Liverpool (my top 2 choices), although Cardiff isn't far behind. Haha, by luck, I think we managed to speak to one of the professors teaching genetics, the moment we said "genetics", the poor guy was ushered over, so yea lol. Got more information from him, but what still worries me would be the employment opportunities for genetics grads... it doesn't look at bright as those coming out with a degree in microbiology (which is probably the only reason why I applied for 5 microbiology courses and only 1 genetics course). Of course if I saw the words "UNCONDITIONAL OFFER" for the genetics course, I'd go mad, and immediately accept it lol. Some universities sent their Singaporean students, like Liverpool. We spoke to this guy studying Law there.. and apparently, he only gets 8 hours of lessons a WEEK. EIGHT!!! I probably study for at least 30 hours a week and he has 8???

Haha as we left the exhibition, we got cornered and did this survey for the British Council, and attached to it was a 2nd questionaire, asking us "consumerist" questions like "which supermarket do you frequent?". Got a kick out of answering them, don't ask why, I enjoy doing such things heh.

On the way back to the train station, passing by Gelare, we stopped for WAFFLES!!! Half priced =) Got myself a waffle with macademia nut ice cream (2nd only to Hagen Daaz) and chocolate syrup.

Yup, then I came home, and my mobile phone lost her signal again (yes, I decided my mobile phone has to be female). Finished up with chem... albeit with half a sleeping brain, watched CSI and Alias and then... I slept.

Ok.. back to econs.. Gotta try to finish up till market structure today so I can HOPEFULLY finish year 1 work tomorrow.

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
