1. I have the wrong Chinese name, well my parents used the wrong characters for my Chinese name , no wonder my name means "simple knowledge" 2. Mine was an induced labour (damn my mum! lol), 3/4 weeks in advance 3. Ironically, while being the youngest in almost every social circle I'm somewhat in, I always end up as the most mature/one of the most mature 4. I've NEVER been booked for anything in my entire life, not even for improper attire (don't call me "guai kia"!! P.S. that refers to someone excessively obedient) 5. I have a mole in the middle of my forehead (causing me to become the butt of all jokes) 6. I once ripped the limbs off my ONLY Barbie doll when I was young 7. I grew up playing block catching, catching at the playground and Nintendo games (occasionally, once in a blue moon) 8. Sadly, I haven't touched a game console since I was 8, now I simply suck at my hand-eye coordination 9. I was at one point in time, 140% overweight 10. I wore braces for 5 years 11. I think my dentist is cute (haha) 12. I think YOU are cuter (to neutralise the effect of the above statement =P) 13. I was once punched on the nose by the fat slob and my nose bled for eons after that 14. I was in a traffic accident in 1996, at least I got to spend the next 2 weeks at home 15. The feeling of the X-Ray boards on raw, bleeding wounds is NEVER nice, I had that =S 16. I think braces weren't painful, they just cause enough pressure to put you off solid foods for a week 17. I've never met my paternal grandfather (he abandoned the family for his mistress) 18. I don't remember my maternal grandfather who passed away when I was 2/3 19. BOTH of my grandfathers had mistresses who eventually dumped them 20. BOTH of my grandmothers worked as laundry ladies (or washerwomen) to raise their kids 21. I am 25% Peranakan, because my maternal lineage is actually quite Peranakan. 22. I cry pretty often, just not in front of people. And I'm not about to tell you why either. 23. I didn't buy my first (and only) computer game (the SIMS 2). It was a 2nd hand gift, but yup, I still appreciate it, haha, a game is still a game 24. I had to use the slob's horribly kept textbooks in primary school and wear his school shirts 25. I hated it so much I found excuses not to use it, in vain 26. It stopped when I got to secondary school and since then, I've always used my own reference books (because he can't study to save his life, explains why he took maths) 27. I have the entire Hello Kitty collection from the 2nd McDonald's offer, which I collected for fun 28. I was fearful of the howling of the wind, thunder and being left alone at home when I was young 29. When I was slightly older, I was afraid of the monsters under my bed 30. I now relish being left at home alone because that means I don't have to see my family 31. I find it trying to maintain social ties so I end up losing touch with most of my pri sch and sec sch friends, except my squad mates and just a couple of pri sch friends 32. I was a prefect both in pri sch and sec sch 33. When I was in kindergarten, my parents would cane me till my skin split if I didn't score full marks for spelling, which was often 34. I got so fearful of them I resorted to forging their signatures 35. I've been in first aid related groups for 10 years 36. Ironically, I don't even like performing first aid duty 37. I was in the choir for a year 38. It wasn't even a choral choir 39. I took English Speech and Drama lessons for 3 years 40. I took Mandarin Speech and Drama lessons for 2 years 41. 2 of my pri sch friends were actors 42. I took piano lessons for 4 years 43. I took taekwondo lessons till I got my yellow belt 44. I took abacus lessons for 2 years 45. I have 2 abacus certificates from some competition/exam 46. My favourite number is 12 47. My second most fav. number is 26 48. My birthday is waay too close to Christmas time 49. In fact, I was born the day after Christmas 50. I can be very patient with some, and very short tempered with others 51. I can be very nice and kind to some and unbelievably mean to others 52. I have more bark than bite 53. My fav types of meat: Beef, Mutton (ok, only mutton curry) and FISH 54. My Dad calls me Ah Gu, don't ask me why, 'cause I don't know why either 55. I used to be called "cat" because everyone associated me with bad luck and that I love eating fish 56. YOU are the only one I can actually tolerate calling me *-*- (haha, I won't put that up here) 57. It got to the extent that I'm not even tolerating it, sheesh! It's just natural to me to have YOU call me that, double sheesh!! 58. My mum calls me by name or "girlie" (eww??) 59. My maternal uncles and aunt call me by name or "Ah Girl" *cringes* 60. My brother and I call each other "Oi!!" Lol 61. I am a natural lefty, converted to a righty 62. I seem to have a penchant for lefties. 63. I wear matching undergarments, most of the time (haha, not about to show that anytime soon!!!) 64. I have a minor OCD streak where I will throw all my clothes out and rearrange them if someone messes their order up 65. My first Valentine's Day date was with a pri school buddy of mine 66. My first Valentine's Day gift was a heart-shaped candle and a teddy bear 67. In return, I added on to his collection of mugs 68. My only exercise post-NAPFA would be the skipping I do once in a while. 500 each time. Good training for would-be TJ students who intent to skip PE 69. I think the celebrity blogger Mr Brown makes a great husband, taking his wife out every Friday for dates 70. No, I am not attracted to Mr Brown 71. I've been bitten by black swans 72. I've been on a camel, it was absolutely terrifying 73. Now I am afraid of failing (kakarrophiaphobia?), death, heights, house lizards, HUGE cockroaches and probably getting my heart broken 74. I have never been called a pucca pulchritude, if I were, I'd offer the person a visit to the optician 75. My fav restaurant would be Brazil Churrascaria off Sixth Avenue (I think). I love the Pao De-Queijo (cheese bread that the Brazilians swear by. Best eaten hot to enjoy its spongy fluffiness.) The waiters are pretty friendly too, not to mention a lil flirty and probably teased quite a number of female patrons. Been there once, I give it both thumbs up! 76. I've been blogging actively for 3 years 77. My fav colour? Green/blue/black 78. I have size 5 and a half feet, well as long as it's between 5 and 6 79. My first active email address was lee_phoebe@hotmail.com . I am not using it anymore, AT ALL 80. I have only 1 piece of red clothing in my entire wardrobe, and that includes undergarments (a red tee) 81. I had my face published in the newspapers before, and that was the issue that every TKGian got free, so all of my sec sch juniors got a treat to my face in their free newspapers (roflol) 82. I love my current handphone, way more than my siemens and nokia phones that I used to use. 83. I used to swim competitively 84. I am a better swimmer than I am a runner 85. I need a new pair of goggles but I am too lazy to get one. Plus, goggles are expensive!!! 86. My head has a strange affinity for balls. I got hit on the head 3-5 times by balls just walking by natball/basketball courts. 87. Erm..erm...erm.....I actually have an ongoing subscription to magazines like Seventeen and National Geographic. Don't ask me why.
To explain my choice of numbers: I was born in the year 1987, that's why there's only 87 things about me here.
Haha, I guess I was too shocked to became phobic of swans. Plus, my fingers did get in the way in their quest to get the bread haha. Trust me not to release the bread soon enough. Abacus..hmm...strangely, I'm quite bad at math now, haha the lessons were all in vain! About the caning, yea, it's normal here. Half the people I know grew up being caned, mine was just a more extreme case *shrugs*
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
