Mac & Cheese...Mac & Cheese..Mac & Cheese!!!
I haven't blogged in quite long. Pretty atypical of me. But I've been too tired, as usual, since I've started work. So I don't get how working adults, who work full time, can find time to blog on such a regular basis. Windfall Woman, care to enlighten me? Because this 18 year old, who's supposed to be more energetic cannot muster enough energy to post an entry at the end of the day because she's too beat.

Anyway, today's Lunar New Year's Eve. In slightly over an hour, we will mark the transition from the year of the rooster to the year of the dog *woof!*

I had the dreaded reunion dinner earlier on and we left earlier than usual because it was dreadfully boring. The food was actually bad. Not that I'm surprised. We had "steamboat" which was really too bland. The curry wasn't spicy, at all. The duck was cold and kinda tough to eat. And I don't take roast pork with the triple layered pork thanks to that THICK layer of fat.So I came home, and now I'm sorta hungry

Sure, some might say it's about the people. The people weren't great. My uncle raised his voice and spoke to his wife and kid in a really rude manner over something relatively minor. Another uncle tried to do a Da Vinci Code and decipher a "hidden message" in my 6-7 year old cousin's (who's autistic, through no fault of his) abstract drawing. The 3rd uncle drowned himself in wine, not drowned himself, he wasn't drinking heavily, but he was drinking the most. Great people, think again. It was boring. I ended up sitting through the first half of the football match between Newcastle United and Chetlerham(not sure of spelling) because my idiotic brother demanded to watch football. Can you blame me for hating reunion dinners? They are such nightmares.

Anyway, during dinner, I saw corn in the soup. Strange, corn in Chinese style steamboat made with chicken broth. Pretty uncommon. The corn made me think of the sweet corn at Kenny Roger's and not long after, I wanted their mac and cheese, badly. Still do by the way.Which made me google mac and cheese recipes online, worsening my craving for mac and cheese. =(

Other than Kenny Rogers, is there anywhere in Singapore that sells Mac And Cheese? 'Cause coming from a very traditional family when it comes to food, which means my family eats nothing but Chinese food, I don't know how to cook Mac and Cheese and neither does my mother. In fact, I can hardly cook, that is if you consider simple soups, omelettes, frying nuggets and the likes cooking. Hahaha.

Kenny Rogers sell good food. Their ribs are good, their potato salad is good, their sweet corn is wonderful and their mac and cheese is fantabulous! And now I'm hungry. GREAT.

My stomach keeps telling me I need Mac and Cheese. What am I to do?!?!?

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
