A quick update from LA.

I just landed in LA some 6 hours ago, spent a whole lot of time trying to get out of the airport. Checked into the accommodation, went for a short tour of the campus and now I'm here, in my room using the laptop.

I'm not used to being in a new country all alone (well I'm not really alone but alone w/o my family) so there's a bit of homesickness coming in. I'm starting to fall ill too, the cabin air in the plane being the main contributor. Normal tasting water isn't really present in hall, so I'm going to be pretty reliant on mineral water. Hall food isn't great, the food didn't look very appetising, so I settled on a slice of pizza, only to realise that even Pizza Hut serves better pizza. Hopefully nicer options turn up soon.

I'm starting to miss a lot of things about Singapore, the only thing I won't miss? The weather.

I forgot to bring my retainers with me to LA. =(

The showering cubicle's hooks are outside the cubicle, which is a first.

However, the campus is beautiful, the weather is beautiful (except it can get very cold at night). My room is on the 6th floor, which makes for a good view except my room faces another building lol.

It'll be 41 days till I'm home. Unbelievable, I just arrived and I'm already counting down to when I'd go home.

Lessons tomorrow, I hope the lecturer's nice and good. No outrageous assignments et cetera.
