Today marked the first day of lessons back in school for us, post jct. Which also means, it's the week where we get back our horribly done papers.
Well, we got back our chem and bio results today. One bad, one unexpectedly well-done.
Chemistry: Well... I got an A level pass, that's the up side of the whole thing. Actually, i guess i did better than expected, i was expecting an AO pass or a simple F. Instead, I'm looking at an unmoderated E, and hopefully, with further moderation, I might see a D or a C. I'm a teeny weeny bit upset about a few questions. Like how in question 1, i actually knew how to do the parts I left blank (damn mental block), or how i studied so hard for my organic chem, only to freak out in the hall and almost completely forget everything i studied so hard for, and how a perfectly logical, and correct method (as stated in our ever so "reliable" notes) can score a perfect ZERO despite arriving at the CORRECT answer. Yes, i am looking for answers, explanations with regards to that particular question. They could have potentially cheated me of 1-2 marks, which means that i could have had a bona fide D. -.-'''
Biology: I am one hell of a lucky girl, i reckon. Just as I was staring at a 100% failure rate for this year, the bio jct springs up a C/B for me. Wow. I normally screw up at my structured question, but this time, i managed 40.5/60. O.o wow. Lol. My essays were okay, but if given more time, i reckon i would have easily managed 28-30/40. Which would have given me a damn A (i reckon). Why do I always screw up in ways like this?Oh, i know, poor time management. If given 10 more minutes, i would have gotten at least 28/40 for my essay, which could have given me 68.5/100. But i am grateful for passing, i thought i was gonna end up in ths 40s (maybe 30s). So no real complains about the 65.5 i got heh. All i wanna say? Yay (sorry to those who didnt so as well, but at least this aint the actual A Levels, so we've still got a few months to really, really pull our socks up. Hopefully, that'll be enough)
1A, 2 AO; that's what we need to scrape through the JCTs. I've probably gotten 2 As in the bag, now for that elusive AO, although i'd love to get a 3rd A. Anyhow, gotta run, econs drq test tomorrow, gotta study. :(
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
