I would love to jump up and scream " it's over", well it is, for most people. Not for me. 2 more papers to go come Monday *sighs*
Went swimming after the paper (the class went cycling). Yup, I came home, and then went for the pool. It's nice being in a water medium. Haha. Yes, I love the water. So? =P
Wasn't your typical fun, considering I was swimming alone and I was doing laps (why would you need company when you're only swimming laps???). Yup. Initially, I planned to do 40 laps, until I decided "heck, 50 is a nicer number", and so I swam 50 laps. Considering the condo pool is pretty small, that isn't too large a distance, only 50 x 25 = 1250m = 1.25km. Pales in comparison with the 120 laps I did before lol. I did end up with mighty lead-ladden sore arms after that though. But it was still great, a nice break from worrying about exams and my studies, since in the pool, the only thing I could think of was hitting that precious 50th lap. Moreover, it was wonderful, considering there were only 3 people in the pool, including me. 3 people to a pool, I like those odds. Except this guy came after I did, and then monopolised my area *annoyed*. I was occupying the deep end when he came in, so I had to move to the shallower end *annoyed*. Turns out... he was a MEDIOCRE swimmer. I won't go around and profess that I'm great at swimming. I'll tell you that yes, I spent 6 years attending swimming lessons, and that 4 of the 6 years was spent on training competitively. That's it. I may not be great at swimming (definitely not now, since I haven't trained in 7 years) but I do swim decently well. This guy here, acquainted with only the breaststroke actually chased me away (effectively) from my area. Excuse me? If you drown, I'm not gonna do anything, ok? For one, he was a SLOW swimmer (yes, I swam faster than him, I freaking swam FASTER, this coming from a person who can barely finish her 2.4km run). To think he had the advantage of build and depth (yes, it is easier to swim faster in deep waters, don't ask me why. It's too physics-like for me, I LOATHE physics). And his strokes weren't exactly good, his butt was popping up with every stroke, it looked strange. Of course I've seen people who swim using waaaay weirder strokes, but this one.. a guy chasing me away when he still had almost every other place in the pool to choose from, a less competent swimmer, I just felt like throwing a deck chair on him lol. Pardon the violence =P Unless the pool was crowded, you won't see me doing that, even if the person before me can barely swim. It's etiquette! Guys!! *rolls eyes*
Anyway, 50 laps today =) First physical activity since the NAPFA test lol. Can't wait till next time, though I should get a new pair of goggles. My current one has extremely scratched surfaces and the anti-fog has worn off =( . No more anti-fog . Good goggles are expensive *nods head*, very, very expensive. When I strike the lottery, I will buy myself a good pair of goggles lol. Of course that will be never, because I do not advocate gambling and I do not see myself doing that anytime in the short run. Means.... I gotta save up.. but I gotta find one that I fancy first.
Gonna stop now, I'm getting way too tired to string proper sentences. Cya then =)
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
