The resurgence of the lymph nodes
Mid-week. Argh. 13 days to the first paper of the GCE A Levels and I am regretful to say this but my lymph nodes have started acting up again.

Correction, they never really did recover but now, one of them is back to the pre-medication stage. It isn't very comforting when your lymphatic system is so screwed up. Half the time I worry if it's cancer (mainly because I am a very, very, very paranoid person) but my blood test results says I'm cancer-free. The other half of the time I wonder if it's an allergy but no one, not even my freaking family doctor, will talk to me about it. They keep telling me it's an infection, someone tell me, is there such an infection that doesn't go away after 3 months?!?!?! Let's see... I discovered the problem in late July, early August... Saw the doctor 4 times in 4 weeks. Been through 4 rounds of antibiotics. Applied cream to deal with the rashes which are now gone, but not the swollen lymph nodes. And now, the freaking lymph nodes go back to their very swollen state, ok, they're not very swollen, but when you compare one side with the other, it is comparatively very swollen. If it's not cancer, and it's not an allergy, then what kind of strange infection can it be? 3 months is a pretty long time to get an infected lymphatic system. Plus, I don't want to go back to the family doctor, because all he is going to do is make me ingest more Serazyme and Augmentin. I've consumed 4 rounds of those, if they're supposed to work, I would think that my lymph nodes would be normal by now, some 8 weeks after I ate my first course of medication.

I want a second opinion now. But it doesn't seem like I will get it because my mother refuses to see another general practitioner. It's times like these where I really wish I had cancer so I can make her regret, really regret. Of course, that's just the child in me speaking, the real paranoid me wishes it were an allergy and that by avoiding a certain chemical, the lymph nodes would cease to be swollen. Like I said before, not online though, or so I think, I suspect it's the conditioner. Of course, there is no way of finding out for myself because, my parents and family doctor dismisses that thought, and I only have ONE brand of shampoo and conditioner to use on my scalp, but what led to my suspicions would be how the rashes got better and the lymph nodes weren't as swollen when I ceased to use the conditioner for a week or so. The moment I returned to my old habits, that was when the problem started, again. But then again, no one cares enough to know. Even though I've told them. Like I said, no one cares enough, so is that even vaguely new to me? Nope.

Ok, time for me to stop. Will blog soon. I think =P

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
