Teeth-obsessed
I've played too much today. I managed to finish university for both the sisters. Both of them became secret society members. Both of them graduated with the equivalent of first class honours. I played so much I gave myself bloodshot eyes. Great.

But I have to admit, while playing the game (for some 6 hours today), I completely forgot about the disaster set to descend upon me come Wednesday. Of course, I can't be playing every day. I obviously can't play while at work, and I'll be too tired at night to try. Of course, not tired enough to prevent me from letting my mind plant wonky, crazy and tear-inducing ideas in my head.

I'm obsessed about my teeth. I have no idea if every person who's gone through braces becomes like this. I seem to be the only one, out of the people I know. I wear my retainers semi-religiously (pardon my usage of the word), at least twice a week (after being off braces for TWO YEARS). I brush my teeth at least twice a day, 30times on each side, and maybe a 2nd set of 30s if I feel like it (it's a wonder my gums haven't bled themselves to death). I gurgle using antiseptic Listerine mouthwash twice a day. It seems that after putting myself through 5 years of braces, I'm obsessed over having a nice set of teeth, even though having a nice set of teeth doesn't equate to having a nice smile. Haha. If only. Although I do remember a queer incident back in 2004 when a classmate told me, one week after I took the braces off, that without the braces, I'm actually quite 'chio' (Hokkien, I think, for pretty). Now, now, we all know that someone like me will never qualify to even be called MILDLY CHIO! Haha. Back to my teeth. I was thinking, IF the NDC were to ever have an advertising campaign, I might be a prime candidate to be their ideal patient. I'm one of the VERY FEW braces wearers who still wear their retainers 6 months after the braces come off, what more 2 years. Talk about long-term business. Every time I let my *cough*cute*cough* orthodontist examine my teeth, I end up coughing $20-30 out of my pocket, and that is after the subsidy (expect to pay $50 for non-subsidised patients).

Time to sleep early tonight. I've come upon a nice discovery, a lame and redundant one, but valuable to me. If I sleep around 10.30pm every night, or earlier, I usually wake up the next morning a whole lot more awake for work. I need at least 7 hours of sleep a night, or so it seems. I wonder how did I manage with 6 during junior college? Or even 2-3 hours during the exam periods? Work, it seems, is a whole new ball game. New discoveries to be made every step of the way.

Phoe

P.S. This is post number 270. 30 to hit 300.

P.P.S. YOU still haven't done the meme!!

P.P.P.S. And can I start calling YOU by the last character of YOUr Chinese name on the blog? I know it sounds a little effeminate, but can I?? Hehe.

Location: Singapore, Singapore, Singapore

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
