I went shopping. Yes, despite my "mother's" reluctance to get anything for me, I went shopping, with my OWN cash. Whoever said we needed mothers like that anyway? Since she wanted to spend hundreds on that son of hers, I simply used my own cash which I accumulated over the 5 months I subjected myself to torture in a huge auditing firm in Singapore.
I didn't buy high-end products, I bought things that I wanted/needed. Mainly clothes meant to be worn because my 'mother' likes ruining all the clothes I have. In total, I bought 4 shirts, 1 skirt and 1 capri. My FIRST capri because most manufacturers don't make capris for vertically-challenged people like me.
Anyway, I was tearing off the labels from the clothes when I spotted one particular label saying that the material is a registered trademark of I******, a company I'm familiar with, only because I was the temp in charge of that company while I was working. I stopped what I was doing, and gawked. Absolutely mortified. I didn't want to see that company's name nor hear it. Now I'm buying clothes and I see its name, I watch CSI and I hear its sister company's name. AHH!!!!!
The clothes are now sitting on my bed waiting to be de-labelled. Lol. I have a CAPRI! And I'm corny. So I'm a CAPRI-CORN! Ok, that was lame.
4 shirts, 1 skirt and 1 capri. I want shoes too. But I didn't spot any that I particularly liked.
We have our farewell gifts... so hopefully the details will start coming in soon. Lol. For now, I sit and wait. And iron the clothes. Lol.
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
