I finally decided to come back here and finish up an entry that i so happen to delete lol.
We've gotten our math papers back yesterday. I passed, while i told myself anything above 55 was good, i was a little disappointed nonetheless when i saw i had gotten 68. Nothing to be ashamed of, i reckon, considering that i did ZERO practice for math and had only gone through my math lecture notes. But still, if i had avoided all my careless mistakes and done the questions that i would have known how to do had i kept calm, i would have easily surpassed 70, possible managing a 72-74. Ouch. Well, what's over is over, at least i might be looking at a B for math.
So far, based on the results that i have received, i am hoping for the following grades Biology --> A (i hope!!!) Math --> B (apparently they are going to moderate the passing grade DOWN, but the A and B grades UP. Where's the sense in that? lol) Chemistry --> C (i got 50 on the dot! woot! i got one mark for that question in which my method was correct but just different lol. Damn, would have gotten 2 if i didnt make a dumb careless mistake)
A, B, C.. hahaha just don't give me a D for econs (although it's still a pass and i would still be relatively happy with it). GP, i am hoping for something good. Teresa and i had a rather cruel exchange about GP. We were saying how we were normally in the top 10 (or at most top 20) percentile of the cohort, which SHOULD mean that we passed, unless we really screwed up our jcts. Lol. Of course, that's just us consoling ourselves that we did it, that we passed the jcts on the overall. Well, i guess we wont know till next week.
I need to get started for the prelims now. Hopefully i havent burned out too much.
Anyhow, onto other matters. On thursday, i found out that i've been invited to the EDB (thats Economic Development Board for the uninformed) open house on August 4th. Eng hooi's invited too, but i'm not sure if she's going. If she's not, then im gonna end up the only one in the class going. Eek. Anyway, i've selected the nanotech, life sciences and finance areas to focus on. HOPEFULLY something good will come out of it (like a scholarship? Hehe... I'm praying!! But first, i still gotta ace the A Levels).
I'm back to considering dropping my S papers. After my recent performance in the jcts, i can't help but think that the S paper lectures are compromising on my normal A level subjects. However, the fact remains that i have paid some $600 for my A level exams, including the s paper exams, and needless to say, those cost money. I have a feeling i'm gonna end up with plenty of cane marks if i drop the s papers now.
Ok, i gotta run. Dinner time (time check? 6.30pm) Cya
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
