I am so sick of studying for the upcoming papers that ANYTHING seems like a better option than studying. Well actually, that mood kicked in early yesterday morning (around 1am) when I was still studying for my microbiology paper (which is over!!!).
I was about two thirds through my lecture notes when my brain just gave out and decided that packing my room seemed like a more pleasant thing to be doing (as opposed to studying). I then proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes clearing the mess on my tables! LOL. Now my room looks significantly neater than it has been the last 2 months (you kind of know if I've been studying based on the 'messiness index'- the messier the room, the more I've been studying) which makes me feel happier when I get home (but reminds me that I'm not studying due to the lack of.. what else? Mess).
My earphones, my beautiful ear phones that came when I purchased my ipod Nano a year back, may be wrecked. I'm hoping it's not. I accidentally left it on the table, with the laptop cooler- and the accompanying laptop on the cooler- sitting on part of the ear phones for what? 2 weeks? =( I'll test the earphones when the exams are almost over to see if they need replacing (I hope not, 'cause those are pretty darn fine earphones!).
I'm supposed to be studying for my upcoming Life Forms and Functions paper (it's this Saturday and I haven't started because I've been too preoccupied with the first 3 papers to do anything about the last 2) and it's obvious I'm not. Sigh. Now I have to force myself to WANT to study for the remaining 2 papers.
On the other hand, 5 more days!!!

P.S. In case you don't know yet, I'll be leaving for China (again, seriously, I think my family failed geography because the last time we cleared Shanghai, they said 'no more China' and we're going back to CHINA again. Since when was Kunming not part of China??!?!?!). I'm not too sure about the departure date, I think it's either the 6th or 7th, and I'll be gone for approximately a week. Now why can't we EVER go anywhere nice? Like LA? Of course I've already been there (without my family- travelling is always more enjoyable without the family, especially when you have MINE) but you can NEVER get sick of LA. Or the UK? France? Italy? Switzerland? Japan? WHY CHINA?!?!?! *bangs head against wall* =( I'm so sick of CHINA and THAILAND. I'd actually rather stay in Singapore. Sigh.
I came online this morning right before leaving for my exam to check up on a term, log onto Facebook, and see this! I loooooooove the 2nd comment "Microbio is awesome-it's the study of teeny-tiny murderers, victims and detectives! LOL You go, girl!:)"
ABSOLUTELY love it! :D

P.S. Of course if you have me added on Facebook, you kind of know who exactly said what. Blacked out some parts to retain the privacy of those affected.
How many _JC students does it take to change a light bulb?
Q: How many RJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: 4 whole faculties. One to design the new bulb, one to manufacture and test it out, one to write a proposal on it and one to market it.
Q: How many HCJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: The whole school. To compete with RJC.
Q: How many VJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: The whole school. One student to screw it in and the rest to cheer and wave flags and banners to give him/her support.
Q: How many NJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They can study without light.
Q: How many AJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: They're too busy trying to be one of the top 5 JCs.
Q: How many ACJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They'll rather use all their money to employ YJC to do it for them.
Q: How many YJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Only one teacher to tell them what a light bulb is in the first place and to demonstrate how to change the light bulb. (So how do you think they're able to change it for ACJC?)
Q: How many CJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: They'll prefer it to be darker. (Hmmmm?*raises eye-brows* )
Q: How many JJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Their physics is so bad that they made their macho male physics teacher cry.
Q: How many TPJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Would they even bother?
Q: How many SAJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They believe in praying for it.
Q: How many NYJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They are still using oil lamps.
Q: How many SRJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: Huh, what litebarb?
Q: How many PJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: Heck the light bulb lah, the principal would do something about the rightbarbs. Let's do 300 jumping jacks for not wearing the proper school attire.
Q: How many MJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They are too busy trying to get promoted.
Q: How many IJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They are Innovians. They'll find ways out of the dark.
Q: Who wrote all this? A: A TJCian.
Q: How many TJC students does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They think they are already very bright.
LOL. Love it how TJC students (I used to be one) are always made out to be the source of the series. This is updated though, the last time I chanced upon it, the newer JCs hadn't been included yet. I took this off Elaine's blog. =P
So I'm weak, I didn't meet my quota for yesterday and fell drastically short of it. I was supposed to finish Cardio last night and get started on my 2nd round of food microbiology. I'm STILL at Cardio (just started on exercise physiology) because I couldn't take it anymore and went to bed at 2.40am. Sigh.
Check out what's new on gmail. Inbox themes! Lol, I've changed it THRICE today. They all look kinda funny though:S At least this one looks cute, but not really me.
It's so unfair. Why am I mugging away from 8.45am till 2.30-4.30am daily and my brother hardly seems to be studying? Ahhh.. Am I in the wrong course? o.O
Reading week has officially started and let me say, just for the record, that I am completely unprepared for the exams. Things have been utterly crazy the past 7 weeks, ok, not really, but things HAVE been really crazy for 5 out of the last 7 weeks. And the remaining 2 weeks was spent on letting my brain get some rest (2 weeks out of 13 academic weeks!) considering I got close to ZERO rest during recess week 7 weeks ago.
Anyway, there is a tonne of things to be accomplished in the next 9 days before my first paper kicks on and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get everything in (which makes me wonder what I'm doing here- taking a break from food microbiology, that's what I'm doing!).
So things in the URGENT pile?
COMPLETE Immunology (first paper), Cardio (2nd paper) and Microbiology (3rd paper) while retaining as much knowledge as possible.
And then go through said 3 modules for a 2nd run through.
Should I be lucky enough to STILL have time, then Life Form and Function it is.
I'm gonna leave the Cultures module till the 29th. Hopefully 2 days of cramming will be enough, or else, there's always the S/U option.
So, yup, now I really have to get back to studying, considering I've already lost the whole of tonight with the wedding dinner that I have to attend.
I survived my first day of school with the new hairstyle. With one friend telling me I look more studious than ever (lol) and that I also look like Lexie Grey of Grey's Anatomy (double lol).
Today has been a semi-productive day, at least I'd like to think so. I've covered 4 sets of lecture notes (which together with the work done over the weekend, makes 13 sets of lecture notes) and I'm now working on my essay. By 'covered', I don't mean studied, I mean went through. Lol.
I had my hair cut earlier on. Well I'm usually not very experimental and brave with hair cuts but today, I went with the intention to chop my hair off till it ends around the collar bone.
As you know, hairdressers here tend to overcut, but thankfully, this one was pretty good (yea, so was the price, lol, $38! That has to be a new record for a haircut- personal record I mean). So now, my hair's shoulder-length and he gave me a hair cut that looks dollish! While he was cutting, I kept thinking to myself how it was gonna suck because sans glasses, it was starting to look like a China country pumpkin sorta cut, thankfully it looked better than that when he was done and the glasses came back on. PHEW!
So be warned, my hair looks drastically different. No bad jokes about it, please.
I finished my Arts readings for the semester!!! And I've somewhat done my lab report, as long as I don't have to rewrite the whole thing (which I might =()
I know I'm not being myself when while naming my file (on the computer where I have part of my cardio essay stored), I almost name it 'Respiration Assay'.
I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
