This is one of the times where being a sloth will literally see me go hungry.

I had a heavy lunch earlier today between 1pm and 2.15pm. So I thought I wouldn't be hungry at dinner time and I wasn't. So I skipped dinner.

As of now, I've been hungry for at least an hour but I brushed my teeth 3 hours ago. Eating now would mean my having to rebrush my teeth and I'm just waaaay too lazy to get that done (lol). So I don't eat and I stay hungry. Guess I could take the chance to lose some weight (I gained a lil over the past 3 weeks)

Did I mention the part where my being sloth-like will see me go hungry? ;)

Why I Hardly Blog Anymore
  1. Life has gotten so busy I can't keep up. If I can't keep up with living life, I definitely can't keep up with writing about it!
  2. School/University is making me so depressed that I'm lethargic and I can't find the energy to blog.
  3. When I finally do find some "me-time", I want it to be about "me". Not that the blog isn't "me" in the sense of being "me", it's just more energy consuming in a less pleasant way as compared to its alternatives (such as watching DVDs, reading a novel, chatting with friends and playing WoW).
  4. I'm not feeling very sociable.
  5. All of the above.

I just read something so incredulous while doing my readings for one of my courses that I thought I was born in the wrong Singapore.

"At Jurong, the eastern side of the island, a major port was constructed to service the industrial centre there." (Singapore's Economic Transformation, Trocki)

Does the guy need a map? Has he even been to Singapore?

For those of you who don't know how Singapore looks like, here's a map.

Can someone explain to me, a Singaporean, how it is even remotely possible for Jurong to have migrated to the East (where Changi is) for the author's book and then migrate back to the West where it's always been???? The last time I checked, I passed geography in Secondary School with decent grades (an average of a B+ to an A). I don't think I've gotten my directions mixed up!

A sign that I'm going crazy (or I could be playing too much of WoW)
I was talking to an ex-classmate last night when I commented on the frequency which I kill beetles in my room (at least once a night).

The silly insects would somehow find their way into my room, bump around the place, which includes the lights, the working ceiling fan, the tv, the cupboards, the table, the speakers, the monitor and then it would land somewhere, utterly knocked out and tired. It always cumulates in my having to end its miserable life (how happy can you possibly be if you fly yourself into everything hard? I don't do that and I'm miserable enough).

So yesterday, I killed 2 beetles in a span on 10 minutes and then I commented to my ex-classmate that given the frequency I keep killing them, it leads me to conclude that my room is really a spawn ground for beetles. My curtains are drawn, so they'd have to somehow fly through the day curtain and the actual curtain to get to the room and the only other method they could have gotten in would be via the toilet's air vent. Okay... so if a beetle can get in through the toilet, why would it not know the way out? o.O So these beetles are spontaneously spawning in my room.

And then my ex-classmate suggested that I might be under some spell (more WoW for you here) cast by some mage hoping to cast damage over time, but mages don't do that, not normally. So If that were the case, I'd have to conclude that if my room isn't a spawn ground for the beetles, then some evil but utterly weak druid has done it. Druids can cast Insect Swarm (I know it 'cause my character just learnt it) but since this one is sooooooooooo weak, he/she can only cast Insect Single. Roflol.

Yes, I've gone nuts and so has this ex-classmate.

about me
My Photo
Name:
Location: Singapore, Singapore, Singapore

I'm a 3rd year student in what is probably the largest autonomous university in Singapore majoring in a Science-related subject (well it sorta IS SCIENCE). I'm known to be introverted, sarcastic (at times), funny when I rant (which isn't a good thing lol) and somewhat of a loner. I miss LA and would move there in a heartbeat :(
